I’ve started my English as a Second Language (ESL) course in the NESE(the New England School of English). There are so many students come from Korea, Japan, Brazil, Taiwan, France, Italy, and many other countries. I had a lunch with one Brazilian Friend yesterday, and today I had a lunch with a Japan girl and four Brazilians. I have gotten great score for the grammar class and the reading & writing class, but I was evaluated as an intermediate level for the listening & speaking class. I have met three teachers in there, Lori, Paul, and Willy. They seemed so kind, strict, and humorous.

 March 29th, 2009

I’ve arrived in Boston on the March 25th. I was in the house of Ja young Kim who had been my boss a couple of years ago as well as my friend. I could process many things because of her help.

Today I moved to the dormitory of language school while it was raining. In here, I could meet many people. First of all, Tom is a very kind manager of this dormitory, Elzi is a doctor from Brazil, and Alex came from Brazil too. Hiro is a Japanese young guy, and he will go to New York for his MBA study after one month later, Masako is a very kind Japanese woman. Masako could pronounce English very well, the other guys are not. Of course, Tom is very kind to me and the other students.

상세보기

Recently, I read the book "The last lecture", written by Randy Pausch Professor.

He was a famous professor of the Carnegie Melon University in US. As you know, he looked very successful in his career. But, suddenly, he knew he got the cancer, so he made a decision to prepare the last lecture for his students and his young children. This book is about that.

I was really impressed in this book, because the author wrote the stories based on his real life. I could feel sympathy for the stories, and I felt his huge love and worries about his young children.

Also, I could think about what kind of life is best for us and remember my original dreams in my childhood. The author mentioned about his original dreams and suggested many nice approaches to achieve them.

In addition, he described many examples about his opinion with sense of humor, even though he was faced up the death.
