분류없음 2010/02/10 15:12Even manufacturing firms already realized to improve its manufacturing for quality and speed meant breaking the old paradigms, but as a young & new firm, my company is in the status of new paradigm? or is it willing to move toward to new paradigms?
New vs. Old Paradigms at Levi Strauss
* Old Paradigm :
- Economy of scale as basis for improvement logic
- Quality involves trade-offs
- Doers are separate from thinkers
- Assets are things
- Profit is the primary biz goal
- Hierarchical org; goal is to please the boss
- Measure to judge operational results
* New Paradigm :
- Economy of time as basis for improvement logic
- Quality is a "religion"; no compromise
- Doers must also be thinkers
- Assets are people
- Customer satisfaction is the primary biz goal
- Problem-solving network org; goal is to please the internal or external customer
- Measure to help people make operational improvements
